The Lerchs came to Osmundson Landscaping needing a lot of fencing and an entire yard designed from scratch!
Tony designed their dream yard and gave their pups a safe place to roam in their countryside haven!
A unique aspect of this project was that they had a large tank to harvest rainwater that they planned to use for their plant beds and gardens. The goal was not to be able to see the large tank when the landscaping was complete.
The goals of this project were:
Buried an extra septic tank to tie all the downspouts into it to recycle water and water all the flower beds. Harvest rain water for maintenance on the plant bed and garden.
Varying terrain and incorporated existing slopes into the design.
Redesigned the deck and used the retaining walls as post support to overcome challenges with supporting the deck and adding proper backfill for the retaining walls.
Redesigned so the steps from the deck lined up perfectly with each level and the rosetta irregular steps to create a natural step look that matches the outcropping walls. To create a final design that flows and feels like it would naturally part of the hillside and terrain.
Let's get started and bring your dream yard to life.
The Lerchs were finishing up a huge remodel in their home and they had a large holding tank they needed hidden!
They tied all their downspouts into this tank to recycle rainwater and use it for maintaining their flower beds and gardens.
They also had several different elevations in their yard that Tony used to his advantage to create a design that really brought their outdoor living space to life.
This was the digital design that we brought to the Lerchs to show them our vision for the space and how to use existing terrain and build a beautiful yard for them.
The deck had been previously designed before we entered the project but after consulting with their builder we were able to revamp the design to make it work with the landscaping design.
In the deck redesign, we were able to use the retaining walls as post support to overcome challenges with supporting the deck and adding proper backfill for the walls. It also allowed us to take advantage of the varying terrain and incorporate existing slopes into our design.
Lastly, we were able to redesign the steps from the deck so that they lined up perfectly with each level. We used the rosetta irregular steps to create a natural step look that matches the outcropping walls and create a final design that flows and feels like it would naturally be part of the hillside and terrain.
They loved the design and the vision and gave us the okay for us to get started!
Tony and crew hit the ground running and brought this yard to life.
This project had to take into account the specific elevations and to hide the tank.
We started with the hillside and then brought the yard together with the flawless flow that really took their home to the next level.
