How it Started

The Design

Where the students were cutting across the landscaping we added a rosetta stone wall to create a natural barrier and encourage students to stay on the intended path.

For the sculpture area, we created a rosetta wall that not only allowed us to create a mellower slope but also was able to make the sculpture stand out as a main focal piece of the area.

We also went on to add a butterfly garden behind it to attract butterflies to the area.

The Process

This project had to take into account how to create a simpler slope for the area as well as create a design that matched the aesthetic of the sculpture without distracting attention from it.

We also wanted to make sure the wall in the flower bed felt natural to the landscaping and like it had been designed that way from the start.

In the end, we created an area that really brought this part of the school to the next level as well as addressed some key issues that had been creating additional work for the staff. As always, what we create is always functional and beautiful so the end results always feel natural and flows with existing landscaping and slopes.
